Chiropractic care optimizes the functioning of your nervous system, helping your body to move better, function better, heal better & feel better. Chiropractors treat their patients holistically, addressing all areas of their mental & physical health. Conditions treated include neck pain, back pain, sports injuries, headaches, postural issues & infant fussiness.


Kate has a keen interest in providing high quality chiropractic care for kids and babies, & has completed the Kiro Kids Paediatric Chiropractic Certificate. Children & babies struggling with pain & irritability, colic issues, irritable baby syndrome & musculoskeletal injury can benefit from chiropractic care.


Pilates is a safe, controlled form of exercise that creates a stronger & leaner body while strengthening the core abdominal muscles & improving flexibility. This helps to support & protect the spine, & also contributes towards overall health & fitness. Pilates is a great rehab tool for lower back pain & sports injuries. It also helps to undo the negative physical effects of prolonged sitting & sedentary lifestyles.

Neuro Impulse Protocol

Kate practices a technique that focuses on correcting nervous system irritation or the primary vertebral subluxation complex using whole body assessment & gentle impulse adjustments. The NIP technique aims to change the way the brain responds to pain & dysfunction.

Meet Kate

Hi, I'm Dr Kate Brown (or just Kate!).


I qualified in 2014 with a Master's Degree in Chiropractic from the Durban University of Technology. I was an associate for 4 years at New Generation Chiropractic in Hillcrest, where I studied the Neuro Impulse Protocol & completed my Paediatric Certificate through Kiro Kids. I also qualified as a Mat Pilates Instructor in 2013 under Trifocus Pilates & opened my studio, Just Do Pilates. I've since also completed my BASI Mat Pilates training in 2020 & am almost qualified as an HCA Health Coach.

I am a joyful & friendly person who believes in a balanced, minimal-stress type of life. ​Growing up as a ballet dancer, I learnt much about the importance of body awareness, good posture, core strength & wellness. It is what inspired me to become a Chiropractor & Pilates Instructor. I am a firm believer in the power of movement & I love helping people build healthy, strong & flexible bodies for the future. I am also extremely passionate about real food, gut health & food medicine

In my spare time I enjoy adventures with my husband & baby boy, as well as keeping fit with functional gym training, Park Run, Pilates & Pole Fitness. I'm an unashamed follower of Christ & serve as a worship leader in the St Agnes Church Kloof worship team.

Chiropractors are primary healthcare practitioners & are highly trained diagnosticians. This means that your chiropractor will always take your full medical history & complete the appropriate physical examinations before moving on to the chiropractic assessment. When required, we will always refer you to the appropriate specialist or medical practitioner.

My practice offers holistic, evidence-based care that addresses the root cause of pain & disease rather than just treating symptoms. This often means addressing issues such as poor diet, lack of daily movement & excessive mental or emotional stress. I am passionate about helping individuals heal & become whole in every aspect of their life. 

I use the Neuro Impulse Protocol technique. This is a neurologically-focused technique that optimizes nervous system functioning by correcting subluxation (or nervous system irritation) in the body and relieving tension on the lining of the spinal cord (dural tension). This system of assessment & adjusting also involves correcting cranial dysfunction within the central nervous system (your brain!). You won't hear any ‘cracking’ or ‘clicking’  during your appointment, as the protocol utilizes gentle impulse adjustments that apply the same amount of pressure you’d put on your eyeball!

I also use soft tissue techniques such as dry needling and massage, as well as offer advice on physical activity, nutrition & workplace ergonomics.

My rooms are located just a few hundred metres from the Abrey Road offramps, conveniently on the same property as Le Physique private gym, close to the Kloof Virgin Active, Kloof schools, Thrive pharmacy, and plenty of coffee shops!

When arriving, please park around the back & pop up the stairs to my door. Please be aware that I don't have a receptionist, so you're welcome to relax in reception until I'm ready for you.
